Your Role

As a Long-term Planner at Boliden in Aitik, you will play a key role in our team and drive our maintenance projects forward. You will work closely with other departments within the mine to ensure that our goals are achieved efficiently and with high quality.

Your Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute maintenance projects
  • Develop an annual plan for maintenance shutdowns in the machinery fleet and establish timings for the shutdowns
  • Develop a maintenance plan using a Gantt chart, in consultation with the shutdown coordinator
  • Plan for upcoming maintenance shutdowns over a five-year period to provide cost estimates to the finance department
  • Lead monthly meetings with cross-functional teams and other relevant departments, such as welding and electrical
  • Prepare financial documentation for applications to invest in long-term assets, such as machinery and equipment.
  • Monitor finances during ongoing shutdowns
  • Analyze lifetime needs for spare parts for various machines to plan material orders and annual cost budgeting
  • Analyze and report on project progress and results and identify improvement opportunities
  • Participate in failure investigations as needed
  • Participate in improvement groups.

Your understanding of the importance of working as efficiently as possible during production shutdowns will be crucial for improving our processes and results. Requirements

  • Relevant education or experience in maintenance
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Driver's license (B)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Maintenance engineering education
  • Experience working with Maximo and MS Project
  • Previous experience in maintenance efforts within the mining industry

Working Hours

Working hours are during the day, with the possibility of flexibility.
